Florida Association of Health Plans Launches Knowledge is Key Video Series

The Florida Association of Health Plans (FAHP) today unveiled its Knowledge is Key campaign (www.knowledgeiskey.org) video education series showcased on The SayfieReview website (www.sayfiereview.com).

TALLAHASSEE, FL, February 14, 2011 /E-Learning PR News/ -- The Florida Association of Health Plans (FAHP) today unveiled its Knowledge is Key campaign (www.knowledgeiskey.org) video education series showcased on The SayfieReview website (www.sayfiereview.com). The campaign will highlight how health plans help Floridians and bring accessible, affordable and quality health care to patients.

The video series was unveiled today by FAHP's President and CEO Michael Garner and Bill McHugh, chairman of FAHP's board and CEO of Amerigroup Florida, Inc. Joining Garner and McHugh today were Jose Gonzalez, Vice-President of Governmental Relations for Associated Industries of Florida and Dominic Calabro of Florida TaxWatch.

"For the last few years, discussions surrounding health plans have centered around policy and process, and while those discussions are certainly important, we want to make sure Floridians know how health plans help them and how they impact people's day to day lives," said FAHP's Michael Garner at a press conference in Tallahassee where the new video series was unveiled. "As you will see with the six videos that will be showcased and are available on our new website, patients are the main focus of our plans and they are pleased with their service and the quality care health plans deliver."

McHugh added, "These videos show the positive impact we have on our customers' lives and the commitment of the health plans throughout the state to provide the best service and highest quality care."

Gonzalez stated, "FAHP's video series highlights the commitment of health plans to be patient-focused and customer-centered. I believe Floridians and decision makers will find this series enlightening and will hopefully come away with a better understanding of how health plans help Floridians."

Calabro concluded, "The 2011 legislative session will focus on reforming the way government delivers services to Floridians and part of the reforms must include changes to Florida's health care system. FAHP's video series campaign offers decision makers and the public a look at how health plans can positively impact Floridians in the health care they receive."

The Knowledge is Key campaign will feature six videos, each premiering on The SayfieReview (www.sayfiereview.com) for 21 days. All six videos will also be available at www.knowledgeiskey.org. Health Plans featured in the Knowledge is Key campaign include Amerigroup, AvMed, United Health Care and WellCare.
