The Association of Mortgage Educators Releases NMLS-approved SAFE Act Online Mortgage Continuing Education Courses

Courses will allow mortgage professionals to fulfill their NMLS mandated continuing education requirements online.

COLUMBUS, OH, September 12, 2010 /E-Learning PR News/ -- The Association of Mortgage Educators (http://www.learnmortgage.com), a leading provider of online mortgage education, announced this week an expansion of offerings to include Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) approved SAFE Act online continuing education (CE) courses. The courses were developed in partnership with Hondros Learning (www.hondroslearning.com), a leading developer of educational products for the real estate, appraisal and mortgage industries.

These mortgage CE courses are developed by seasoned industry experts and experienced instructional designers to specifically address the 8-hour CE requirement - 3 hours of federal law, 2 hours of ethics, 2 hours of non-traditional mortgage lending, and 1-hour of elective content. MLO professional continuing education requirements for the following states are due by the end of 2010: Alabama (AL), Arkansas (AR), California (CA), Connecticut (CT), District of Columbia (DC), Delaware (DE), Iowa (IA), Idaho (ID), Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), Kentucky (KY), Louisiana (LA), Massachusetts (MA), Mississippi (MS), Montana (MT), North Carolina (NC), North Dakota (ND), Nebraska (NE), New Hampshire (NH), New York (NY), Ohio (OH), Oklahoma (OK), Pennsylvania (PA), Rhode Island (RI), South Dakota (SD), Utah (UT), Washington (WA) and West Virginia (WV).

"Our online mortgage continuing education courses will allow mortgage loan officers to complete their NMLS approved CE by the end of the year on their own timetable," says Dave Evangelisti, Vice President of Hondros Learning. "The end goal for these mortgage professionals is staying compliant and maintaining their licenses. Our goal is to develop and provide the highest quality, most convenient CE options."
