Provost Academy Colorado Hosts Community Information Meetings in Metro Denver
Metro Denver families can learn about a new free online high school choice
GREEN MOUNTAIN FALLS, CO, April 03, 2010 /E-Learning PR News/ -- WHAT: Provost Academy, a new Colorado online high school that offers customized learning plans for every student, will give local families an interactive demonstration of the school's virtual classroom, curricula and assessment tools. Join Provost Academy community members at one of these Community Information Meetings: Monday, April 12 at Englewood Public Library at 6:00 p.m.; Tuesday, April 13 at Philip S. Miller Library at 6 p.m.; or Thursday, April 15 the Aurora Municipal Center at 6 p.m.
Prospective high school students and their parents or guardians will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions about Provost Academy and its more than 100 highly engaging online classes, which include A.P. and honors courses with a particular emphasis on high demand subjects, such as science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Attendees will also learn about Provost Academy's proprietary modular curriculum design developed with Dr. Paul Kim, Assistant Dean of Stanford University's School of Education, which enables lesson plans to be customized to fit a student's individual needs.
Interested families will learn about how Provost Academy utilizes the latest technologies to create a customized path for every student to hear their high school diploma and see how they can easily monitor learning progress, assignments and grades at a glance. Further, they will learn about the extensive support resources available to Provost Academy Colorado high school students, which include on-demand tutors to help keep students on pace for progress, instant feedback on interactive lessons and regular meetings with an Academic Advisor.
