World Links Arab Region participates at GITEX 2009 in Dubai

World Links Arab Region has successfully participated for the first time in the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) through October 18th to 22nd.

AMMAN, JORDAN, November 05, 2009 /E-Learning PR News/ -- World Links Arab Region has successfully participated for the first time in the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) through October 18th to 22nd. GITEX is considered the third largest and most successful technology and IT events in the world, and a gateway to the IT market in the Middle East.

Through its participation in GITEX, WLAR was able to increase awareness of its programs and successfully establish business relations for potential future cooperation with a wide range of organizations during the exhibition from the Arab Region and across the globe.

The World Links Teachers' Professional Development (TPD) program trains teachers to effectively use Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in their classrooms with their students, within interactive classroom dynamics. The teachers and their students, through practical applications, gain new skills, such as critical thinking, problem solving, employing research techniques, working collaboratively within groups and gaining advanced communications skills, thus effectively contributing towards attaining self and life-long learning skills within future Arab Knowledge Economies.

Staffed with experts in educational technology and entrepreneurship training, WLAR has so far trained more than 10,000 teachers and educators in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Palestine and Yemen, reaching over 2 million Arab students, and with its proven success, is expanding the program to include more Arab countries in the coming few years.

WLAR has also recently assumed an international role in spreading the World Links program worldwide. In doing so the WLAR team, now the World Links International team, will be dedicated to spreading ICT in education on a global level, engaging to reach out with this initiative to a large number of countries across the continents.

From the responses received this year at GITEX, WLAR will be looking forward to an even bigger and more successful and spectacular GITEX 2010.
