ITWorx Unveils AuthorExpert - An Interactive Authoring Tool for Creating and Publishing Learning Content
ITWorx announced today the release of AuthorExpert, a desktop authoring tool that enables teachers to create interactive e-learning content easily within a very short time frame and at a reduced cost.
CAIRO, EGYPT, October 20, 2009 /E-Learning PR News/ -- ITWorx, one of the Middle East's leading software professional services firms and a global expert on SharePoint-based education gateways, announced today the release of a new e-learning product - AuthorExpertTM. A desktop authoring tool, AuthorExpert enables instructors to create interactive e-learning content easily within a very short time frame and at a reduced cost.
The capability to author learning content is critical for e-learning systems to deliver true value to stakeholders. Instructors need to electronically disseminate learning materials in a way that is accessible to every learner. Instructors also need to prepare assignments or homework and collect learner attempts in an easy and flexible manner.
To make lesson creation effortless, AuthorExpert is bundled with a set of pre-designed lesson templates. Instructors can enrich their lessons by embedding documents, images, multimedia files, or audio narration, making them illustrative and interactive. SCORM 2004-compliant, AuthorExpert provides seven question types wherein created questions can be stored in a Question Bank for re-use. AuthorExpert is also designed with an Office 2007-like interface that supports many languages including Arabic, entailing a zero-learning curve for instructors.
AuthorExpert is suitable for K-12 schools as well as for higher education and corporate e-learning needs. It follows other ITWorx Education products, including ITWorx Connected Learning Gateway (CLG)TM - a learning platform for K-12 schools; ITWorx Catalyst Provisioning SuiteTM - a group of utilities to accelerate solution deployment and accounts provisioning; AttendanceExpertTM, an online attendance management application; and ExamExpertTM, an online assessment tool. All ITWorx Education products feature fully customisable interfaces.
"Teaching and learning beyond the classroom are becoming increasingly critical to advance education in the 21st century and allow learners to reach their full potential. We are continually developing our suite of e-learning tools to bring effective learning solutions to the global education community," commented Wael Amin, ITWorx President.
