Is Life Getting in the Way of Your Education? Harcum College Launches eLearning Programs with Harcum OnLine

Harcum OnLine is now registering students for its online business programs, Associate of Arts in Business Administration, Associates of Arts in Human Services, as well as for its Allied Health Degree programs. Fast, convenient and superior quality instruction.

BRYN MAWR, PA, December 11, 2008 /E-Learning PR News/ -- In January, 2009, everyone with access to the Internet will be able to enroll in an associate degree program at Harcum OnLine. Information about the online Associate of Arts in Business Administration and the Associate of Arts in Human Services is currently available at www.elearnportal.com/harcum. The registration for the online courses has begun for both business programs and for other online degree programs like Medical Laboratory Technology, Neurodiagnostic Technology and Histotechnology.

Harcum College, in partnership with The Learning House, Inc. - one of the nation's leading providers of online education -offers the same high academic quality and career-oriented instruction for online students as many other thousands of students have experienced face-to-face during nearly a century of Harcum's campus existence.
The instruction will be delivered in an accessible, student-centric online environment where students will feel engaged and motivated to share knowledge, opinions and ideas.

The Business Administration degree offers a modern blend of fundamental principles and practices of business, emphasizing contemporary business theories and practices set in a diverse and ethical context.
The program curriculum addresses important topics directly related to marketing, management, computer systems, accounting, business law, finance, and economics. Students who choose this career track will learn specific technical skills and experience the "real world" of business through internships that will prepare them for successful professional careers.

The Human Services degree will help graduates enter a profession dedicated to providing services to individuals and families in need of assistance. Students learn a wide range of intervention tactics and skills that can be adapted to specific populations in different social settings, such as residential treatment facilities, correctional facilities, group homes, halfway houses, youth services agencies, mental health facilities, and substance abuse treatment programs.
Home health care services, a key part of human services, were recently listed as one of the "Eight Top Fields with Major Job Growth" by Yahoo! hotjobs, as projected by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Harcum OnLine offers three online Allied Health degrees.
The Electroneurodiagnostics (END) is an allied health specialty that records, monitors and analyzes nervous system function to promote the treatment of a variety of conditions.

The Medical laboratory technician (MLT) program is designed to train professionals in providing diagnostic testing of patient specimens in a laboratory setting. Courses for both programs can be taken in the Harcum classroom or online through a different online education portal, WebStudy.

The Histotechnology specialty prepares laboratory personnel to handle human and/or animal tissue samples for further microscopic examination, for research and academic/instructional purposes as well as for the purpose of detecting and diagnosing diseases.
