Science With Me Announces Ekiducate, A New Directory Resource For Parents and Educators
New section will serve as a worldwide directory for parents, teachers and educators
/E-Learning PR News/ - PRINCETON, NJ, April 16, 2008 - On April 13, 2008, Science With Me, the premier free educational science website for elementary age children, released Ekiducate, a new directory resource for educators, parents and children.
Ekiducate is designed to be a searchable worldwide directory of educational resources. The primary goal of the supplemental section of the Science With Me website is to create a 'one-stop' resource for teachers or parents who wish to access additional sources to supplement their child's current educational plan. Ekiducate is designed to be a convenient and valuable tool for those who home school their children, teachers in search of supplemental material for classrooms or parents looking for educational tools that can be accessed from home via the Internet.
Ekiducate will create an ever-changing, constantly updated, comprehensive collection of children's educational websites, educational shops and products for educators designed to aid them in their search for handy tools for teaching.
"Many parents have written to me to asked me to recommend quality educational resources, so I decided to compile them all in Ekiducate" said Dr. Elva O'Sullivan who, along with her husband Dr. Scott Rickard, co-founded the Science With Me website.
Educational resources, including but not limited to web based resources, are invited to submit their information to the Science With Me website. Once approved, the site will appear in the Ekiducate directory and can be accessed through the Science With Me site.
"A basic listing on the site is free", said Dr. O'Sullivan, "There is a small fee associated with uploading a logo but it's not required nor is it necessary."
Currently the Science With Me website has about 20,000 members. The site has become extremely popular with parents and children alike, as the site offers the opportunity for both to interact and to share in the learning process. Membership is free. The Science With Me site currently offers science animations, educational games, worksheets, science projects, free e-books, entertaining coloring books, informative articles and blogs. More offerings are planned in the very near future.
