Child Care Lounge Offers CDA Classes

Early Childhood providers who wish to obtain a CDA may visit Child Care Lounge's website, www.childcarelounge.com.

/E-Learning PR News/ - PITTSBURGH, PA, January 16, 2008 - Child Care Lounge, a web-based resource for early childhood professionals, is now partnering with (AST, Inc./Smarthorizons ) to offer IACET CEU certified online training. These training courses are designed by Smarthorizons to help child care professionals complete annual training requirements or acquire required training hours for those seeking a CDA or national credential. The courses provide a variety of engaging topics designed specifically for the child care professional.

Early Childhood providers who wish to obtain a CDA may visit Child Care Lounge's website, www.childcarelounge.com. On the website, students have 24-hour-a-day access to the required 120 hours of training. The courses were designed specifically to meet the training requirements for the CDA. The courses can also be used for CDA renewal training requirements.

The Council for Early Childhood Professional Recognition states that a "Child Development Associate (CDA) is an individual who has successfully completed the CDA assessment process and has been awarded the CDA Credential. Earning the CDA Credential has many advantages, including motivating caregivers toward continuing education and providing a platform for professional and career opportunities. Many view the CDA Credential as an instrument for career advancement in the early childhood care and education profession."

While Child Care Lounge does not grant the CDA, the addition of these classes to the website is a great advantage to help those professionals seeking CDA training opportunities.
